My favorite movie of all time...pretty cool to see how NYC was in that time. My opinion, Daniel Day Lewis' performance of Bill the Butcher was the best I have ever seen.

I saw it for the first time in one of my classes in school. It was a good movie, I would recommend seeing it.

One of my favorite movies of alltime. I agree that Daniel Day Lewis puts on one of the best if not the best performance I've ever seen. It just seems so real to me. I was disappointed when I did some research that very little of it was true (I had heard a few times prior it was based on a lot of real things)
Historical/War dramas are my favorite types of movies si I may be a bit biased, but this is a must see movie
