The Pistons have been making moves this season trying to bring a Championship back to Detroit. The first move was bringing in Peja as a third option in the offense next to Bryant and O'Neal but Peja was more like Deja vu as he was much like his predecessor Josh Smith. Peja averaged a measly 13ppg while only shooting slightly over 40%. Biedrins was also slightly a disappointment although he was still highly coveted by most teams. In the last ten games the Pistons went 4-6 and their lead in the division was diminishing quickly. After a two consecutive losses to the Cavs, Management new things needed to change. After talking countless hours and contemplating several offers for the big man Biedrins, the pistons finally shipped him off to the Sacramento. Darius Washington was also sent packing as his role on the team was diminished after the great play of backup Greg Paulas. In return for these two the Pistons would receive some talented youth. A young Ben Wallace in Darrell Arthur, a young Micheal Redd in Malik Hairston, gunner Jiri Welsch, PG Jamaal Tinsley, and 4 first round picks. This left a hole in the front court but before we could fix that we sent Tinsley packing to South Beach to play for the Miami Heat and in return the Pistons would get the versatile Manu Ginobili. Manu will become a great sixth man once he gets back from injury. The final deal that would solidify this lineup was made with the team in the swamps of jersey, the NJ Nets. Looking for another big man, the pistons would turn to Chris Taft. The Nets inquired about Peja and the pistons responded with Marvin Williams. The pistons would get another big man who could be the sleeper of the deal. The 7 footer Ha Seung-Jin could be a potential replacement for Biedrins in the starting lineup. Either way the Pistons have added much needed depth and have provided themselves with enough youth and draft picks to be a dominant team for many years to come. The only question that remains is will this be enough to hear some Queen over the stereo in the Palace at the season's end...
