See: last two champs. Most good playoff teams have a lot/some vet talent. The prevailing idea that youth is better stems from two things: one, obviously, that there is a better future wih youth, and second that vets' salaries put a heavy burden on cap situations. However, you can't dispute the value of vets in this league when you look at the standings.

Fact-Regardless of how well vets can perform, they hold no value to most teams, which obviously makes no sense.

Fact, youth is better to look at for the future. Vets carry to much money with them, and are older, and injury prone. I would rather take young then old.

Fiction - Just dealt Michael Redd, a great veteran presence for a potential number one pick...just depends on the direction of your team.

Fact- No one likes veteran players unless they are still performing and under 32 years old.

Fiction. They have value, but generally the good veterans are at the back of their max contracts, which they are no longer worth. But, KG, Kobe etc are vets, and to say they have no value is ridiculous. So fiction.

Fiction, just alot of gms mostly the new ones dont value them much at all, maybe bcoz of the sim going faster so alot of gms feel they have to constently go young, most of the older gms remember the older players and will use them to there advantages for depth or to feel in needed holes,
