So this is exactly how the Reward Points will work. Instead of a grade increase you will get 5 points to "spend" in a category for every 100 Reward Points. This will in turn potentially raise a letter grade. Ive decided on this because it gives a GM a more comprehensive control over which part of the players game he is improving.
Note, I will not increase anyone over 85. So if you choose to raise Duncans inside scoring by 5, and he is already over 85 the request will be denied. If someone has an 83, and you choose to raise a player by 5, he will only be raised by 2, and you will get a "refund" of 3.
Only players under 25 are eligible.
Inside Scoring Ratings Affected: Inside Scoring
Mid Range Shooting Ratings Affected: Outside Scoring
Long Range Shooting Ratings Affected: Outside Scoring
Handling Ratings Affected: Handling (note: this is the ability to lower turnovers)
Speed Ratings Affected: Handling, Defense and Rebounding
Passing Ratings Affected: Handling
Stealing Ratings Affected: Defense
Blocking Ratings Affected: Defense
Post Defense Ratings Affected: Defense
Perimeter Defense Ratings Affected: Defense
Drive Defense Ratings Affected: Defense
Offensive Rebounding Ratings Affected: Rebounding
Defensive Rebounding Ratings Affected: Rebounding
Strength Ratings Affected: Inside Scoring, Defense and Rebounding
Jumping Ratings Affected: Inside Scoring (strangely, it doesn't affect Rebounding)

Idea - how about making Age a limit? As in, players over a certain age can't be increased, period.
Why? Players usually don't improve once they're into their 30's. Of course, older players can still improve in training camp but at least this way players will "usually" decline or stay they same skill wise, like they're supposed to.
Could also do something similar with Potential. While players have a certain amount of potential left, they can't be increased. If a player has high potential and gets increased with reward points...well, like I've mentioned before, there should only be a handful of "Uberstars" at one time.

And/or...players with an overall rating at a certain level or above can't be upgraded...ie players that already have great ratings.

Ive already stated above that anything at or over 85 cant be increased.
An age limit can be discussed. Maybe only sub 25 yo's?

I was talking about something like a player with an overall rating of "X" cant be increased in any category. As in, they're already a stud...they dont need any extra boosts.

Well the grades are based off the numbered ratings. And if a guy gets to 85, he cant be raised more. Im not sure what you mean.

I was assuming there was some sort of number grade for players...like Dirk Diggler is an 85 overall. If not, then im not sure...there's probably a way...im just too lazy to think of one right now...

i dont think we need to worry bout the age limit, i think no raises over 85 is more than enough, theres no point in upgrading gasols outside shot from c- to a c, and if someone does wanna do it (aj) then good luck to them.
