Buy outs are now allowed. If you wish to buy out a player, you must take the full hit of that players contract in the year that you buy out that player. For example, if a player is owned 10 mill a year, for the next 4 years, you would take a 40 million dollar cap hit the year you buy him out. The Buy out would most likely result in a Luxury Tax penalty. Luxury Tax penalties are listed in the main rules section.

Players whos contracts have been bought out will now go through waivers. The claiming team with the worst record will get the player.
Also, from now on no Buy Outs until after the All-Star break.
