Personally I like Morrison, because hes the little guy, publicity wise. He's relatively unknown compared to Redick. He has proven to be just as clutch with hitting big shots. He can drive, slash, shoot and play defense and handle the ball. He plays such a weird style of basketball, very unique.
Who do you like?

As a pro? Morrison. Better size. I think Redick will be a horrible defender in the NBA, while Morrison will just be bad.

I was going to throw up in October if I had to read another article on him.

My mistake, I didn't read it write (relatively unknown in comparison to JJ). Regardless, I'd say he's fairly close to JJ in terms of their lack of anonymity.

Without ever really seeing them in action....
I think both will suck defensively.
Reddick = Steve Kerr
Morrison = any white guy with a jump shot + below avg athleticism(NBA standards).

I get to watch Morrison alot he is great and keeps improving he hasnt shown that he would hit the wall in developing, he keeps improving. Reddick could be alot better then you think, everyone nows how good he is and he still gets open looks.

Didnt Bill Curley(or was it Hurley) dominate college ball? There have been plenty of great college players that didnt do squat in the NBA. These two seem like prime candidates although you never know.

Billy Curley was Brians favorite player all time.
Billy Hurley struggled and then was in a very serios car accident. So its hard to tell if he would have ever been something.

Yup, car accident it was...so prob a bad example...but there have been plenty that just couldn't get it done at the next level. A lack of athleticism and/or size seem to be strong indicators. I could actually see both guys being solid if they were put in the right situations...ie like Rip in Detroit...running off of screens, having plays run for them. Most teams dont seem to execute that stuff often though, or not very well anyways.

I've seen a nice amount of both (much more of JJ), but I really think it's a draw.
Both are crafty (they make the most out of the fact that they're not quick) off the dribble and can get their shot off in any situation. JJ's defense is hidden A LOT when Duke goes to zone, but there's a lot of shooting guards who can burn him. Morrison has size and length, but his feet on defense are bricks. Offense won't be a struggle for him, since he has a bag of moves (how about that spin move tonight to break the press?) and is a superb creator. For JJ, he'll be smothered nightly in the NBA, and will need to keep improving his drive to keep defenders balanced. But both are great scorers who have strengths (JJ's range, Morrison's mid range game and touch around the basket) that will translate in the NBA.

If we're talking who's going to be better in the NBA it's Morrison easy....Redick's lack of athleticism and terrible defense will get him in the NBA. His defensive abilities are hidden because of the great defense at Duke. Also, what position does he play in the NBA, 2 guard? Two guards will run circles around him.
That being said, Morrison will be a better NBA player because of his size. At 6'8, that's a nice sized player who will give smaller 3's matchup problems in the post due to that mid range game. Also, at 6'8 he has unlimited range and can draw the bigger threes out to the perimeter. Defensively I see him facing the same problems as Redick but he can give his opponent just as many problems.
Both have great basketball IQ's but I see Redick as a Steve Kerr while Morrison will be a poor man's Bird.
As of now, NBADraft.net has Morrison going number 2 which I can live with although I think some players will be better but Redick at 7 I feel is way to high. Either way I feel other players such as Bargnani, Foye and especially Tyrus Thomas will be better then both of them.

What excites me most about this draft is that the Knicks have traded away what looks like it will be the first or second pick.

Another pretty interesting thing that may happen....Detroit's in talks with Orlando for dealing Darko/Arroyo for Kelvin Cato/this years pick. If the Pistons had another chance at the lottery they'd be able to get a Tyrus Thomas type player to replace the Wallace's when they are done. Plus Cato is a huge expiring...figure I'll throw the Pistons in there, lol

This year is going to hurt....but next year could really kill the Knicks, if they're bad again the Bulls may potentially land a top pick this year, a great pick next year and Sweetney for Curry. Gotta get Isiah out of there.

I'd say Thomas could be a replacement for Sheed sooner, even if he's a totally different player.

I don't care what LB says, you don't deal David Lee for a declining Theo Ratliff. If he moves Frye to get K-Mart, it'll break my heart.

Ben's probably getting a five year deal...worth about 12 mil a year...Ben's my favorite player but that's a bad contract since he isn't getting any better. Despite that he deserves every penny of it for making his $6mm and not complaining. Thomas is exactly like Ben...hard working, tough defender, block and rebounds like crazy. He'd be better to replace Ben but either way if we were lucky enough to get him he'd be able to replace either.

Zeke's gotta be tough minded with Brown....every situation he's been in (except Detroit) he's dictated the moves and it's killed the franchises. He can't let LB do that to the Knicks.

Im intrigued by Ronnie Brewers game...apparently an ugly jump shot(due to a broken arm as a child or something along those lines) but the guy defends, has good ball handling skills, can pass and slash to the hoop. Anyone seen him play enough to make an informed comment on his game?

Also doesn't have a definite position...big tweener. Still a lotto pick.

Morrison.
Better all around game who can shoot from midrange to outside. He basically can do everything from what I've saw.
