I know its not the NBA, but this is huge news in the world of sports, and great news for Jets fans like myself ;D ;D ;D
Although ive always thought Ricky was overrated, this is still a major blow to the Miami Dolphins who based their whole offense around him.

As a huge Dolphins fan...........I am so pissed off at the FAG. He screwed the living shit out of the Dolphins.....He will regret doing this....He was probably really high when he made this decision.....Only a dumb ass would retire at age 27 in his prime.....Now we gotta get a Rb so late in the offseason.....Only if he retiered 2 weeks ago we could've had Eddie George......What an early Christmas gift for Travis Minor.....All I have to say is the Dolphins are screwed......

I am disappointed being a Miami fan.
But I think that this may be good in a way. If a player quits at that age for the reasons he did just shows that winning isn't exactly his priority. How many superbowls has he won?

For a RB to actaully "walk" away without a torn up knee, or twisted knobby ankles is amazing. It just shows that for some people it isnt all about the game. Im sure if I were a football player Id want to play until I couldnt walk anymore, but I respect Williams for leaving on his terms.
As for the Dolphins, I do feel some amount of sympathy, because Williams was their offense. They will struggle to win 9 games this year.

He wouldve been suspended this season for 4 games for marijuana. Apparently his social disorder forces him to smoke weed constantly.

I couldn't care anymore about Ricky. I just hope AJ Feeley can light it up in training camp. I wil be okay with Travis Minor and whoever we sign. In the offseason Edge will be our man at RB. I always thought he was better then Ricky, but after the injury he had years ago it is taking him awhile to play to his potential.

If he comes back in two years I don't want him on the Dolphins. I would rather have James or LT, since they are FA's after this year. Ricky has woar out his welcome to play in Miami. The players and fans wouldn't welecome him back. I hope he goes to Oakland like he wants to so Taylor and Thomas can end his career for real this time.
