Cavs!

Well.... Since no one wants the Cavs, I might as well state my case for them.
The Cavs have some very good young talent but I believe it is used poorly and is a mismash of players who do not mesh well with one another.
The first thing that I would try and do is deal Andre Miller to a contender for a young, balanced SF and/or expirings and decent picks. Miller is a very nice PG, but doesn't fit with the Cavs youth movement.
Secondly, I would deal some of my PF & SF depth for young defenders at the PG & swing positions or some brute rebounders to play backup PF. The Cavs have decent scorers at every position, but lack the defense & rebounding at those positions necessary to contend.
Next, I will try my damnedest to re-sign Greg Oden. He will be a stud for a long time and will be the key to this franchise's uprisal.
Since the Cavs lack picks, I will have to be smart with the Cavs cap. After dealing Miller for smaller contracts and/or picks and re-signing Oden, we will try to sign good role players to reasonable contracts to compliment our young stud PF/C tandem in Oden & McRoberts. That means defense, rebounding and passing.
Lastly, I will be patient and let the young studs develop. Many GM's get an itchy trigger finger and make rushed deals when their young teams do not win immediately. I am not one of those GM's. If you stockpile enough young talent (and surround them with quality role players), eventually they will develop into winners. Patience is a virtue.
I feel that this Cavs teams has a chance to eventually be very good. They are being used improperly right now but, with a few smart moves and the right coaching settings, could be very good down the line.
