What youd do with the Pacers?

Well the Pacers have tons of young talent and everyone can't play. So I'd choose the players that best fit into my system and build around them. Packaging some of my young talent for a proven star would be the first trade option I explore. I'd use my draft picks possibly in a trade OR to add depth at SG. Dooling's contract is terrible for a backup, so moving him for cap relief would greatly help.

Free agency wise, I'm going to have lots of cap to work with. I'd like to keep both Splitter and Bass, so I'd be willing to shell out a decent amount of money to keep them. Camby is aging and this team is built for the future so he'd be gone. I'd need to go after a C in free agency, because Swift's defense isn't good enough. I'd get someone that could come in and contribute while Gumenyuk develops. I'd also re-sign Dee Brown to play a backup PG role. With the remaining money, I'd go after a solid free agent. Temporary help at C, SG, and possibly PF (Depending on if Bass and Splitter re-sign) would help so my rookies don't have to play too many big minutes. I'd like to start my "future" but I can still build for the future while they develop on the bench (Mainly Gumenyuk and Gay).

The team is not built to contribute now, so I'd focus more on developing players. Sean Banks seems to be the "star" of the team, so I'm going to bulid around him. Ford is the consistent PG that teams I run need. If my players develop like they should, the Pacers should be in the playoffs in 2 years.

Why you should be GM?

I have a much greater knowledge of FBB leagues since I was last GM of the Phoenix Suns. I am very active and I can help around with league matters. I presented my plan for the team and it will work. Also I have grown as a person and promise to not make any disturbances. I'd even place myself on probation in which if I didn't maintain activity in the league such as missing a depth chart, not making a draft list, and not activly taking part in league chats.
