Utah trades Adam Morrison to SA for Denham Brown. SA then extends Morrison to the tune of 3 years, 2.5 million with 10% raises. SA then trades Morrison back to Utah for Brown. Thanks  |

Danny/Chris, is this a legit trade and extension offer?
If so, please make sure this trade works from a cap perspective after the recent Spurs trade. Once you confirm on this thread, extension will go to council and we'll let you know.

Yeah its legit.
Works cap wise and doesnt affect SA's cap situation as it is me who has to pay the years on his contract.

This deal is dead. Under the rules of the league something like this can work, but this deal wasnt followed through on. Ultimately the team acquiring the player to be extended needs to offer a contract, and the contract must be accepted before him back. Now San Antonio doesnt have enough money left under the cap to offer the contract to Morrison.
Declined.
