 Pistons cut Tim Pickett Sign Rod Strickland Pistons trade Strickland and Cheaney to Grizz for Piatkowski PIstons sign Christian Laettner Pistons trade Laettner Najera and Dixon to Grizz for Schortsciantis Pistons sign Ho Grant. Grizz cut Strickland Laettner and Cheaney PIstons sign Laettner Pistons trade Schortsciantis Laettner Piatkowski an 06 first and Ho Grant to Grizz for Flip and an 07 first. confirmed

So basically Memphis is trading Flip Murray and a 1st (+ about 3 million dollars in cap space because of cutting the veterans) for a 1st from a very good team and Edurado Najera?

Basically. He wanted to dump a contract he couldnt seem to trade. As far as the trade goes, Chicago did a similar deal last year, and I allowed it. I take on a huge contract, trade him a comparable first that is a year earlier, and I trade him Najera and Dixon, who he likes.

Also, since weve hit major free agency, I think we all must realize some trade will be less talent driven, and more cap driven.

my cap space looks to be teh same and all the guys i got are signed to1 yr deals, which is why i did ht deal.
