1(1) - Orlando Magic - Remain the class of the field. Top scoring team in the league(over 113ppg). Also
the top rebounding and shotblocking team. Holding opposing offenses to a league best 41.8% shooting.
2(4) - Golden State Warriors - Best in the West. Highly efficient offense(over 45% shooting) that averages over 111ppg. Attempt the second most FT's per game.
3(8) - New Orleans Hornets - A team that gets to the FT line and shoots a good percentage from behind the arc(just under 40%). Avg 9.7 steals per game. Strong inside and out.
4(7) - Detroit Pistons - Possess arguably the best duo in the league. ONeal and Bryant are lockdown defenders and are both extremely efficient on offense. Overall, a team that shoots better than 45% from the field. Lead the league in assists per game at 27+. Also turn the ball over the least.
5(3) - Chicago Bulls - Still tops in steals per game. Deep team with a strong perimeter game. Good rebounding team that takes care of the rock.
6(2) - Toronto Raptors - Solid all around team. Rebound the ball, efficient offensively, low turnovers, hold teams around 42% shooting. Also a good FT shooting team. Duncan is key.
7(9) - Milwaukee Bucks - Very good defensive team. Holding opponents to just over 100ppg on 41.8% shooting. Very good rebounding and shotblocking team.
8(6) - Cleveland Cavaliers - Most efficient offense in the league(45.6%). Great from 3pt land(over 40%). Another team with strong inside/outside threat.
9(5) - Minnesota Timberwolves - Team that avgs 99.1ppg(a league worst). Opposing teams avg 96.4ppg(a
league best). Give up the least amount of FT's and FG's. Hold teams to 42.6% shooting.
10(10) - Denver Nuggets - Perimeter oriented team. Starting to overcome early injury troubles. Arguably have the leagues best 1, 2, 3 combination. Banks, Johnson and Rondo continue to shoot over 45%. Good rebounding team when healthy.
11(13) - Dallas Mavericks - High scoring team that rebounds and protects the ball. Definite playoff team this season. Richardson's career season continues.
12(17) - Seattle Supersonics - A team that continues to improve as the season progresses. A team with impressive individual talents, especially on the defensive end. Share the ball well. Efficient offense that gets to the FT line.
13(15) - Portland Trailblazers - Possess a nice mix of talent with size and skill. Create the most TO's per game at 14.2. Hold teams to 35.7% from behind the arc. A team that should improve down the stretch.
14(11) - Memphis Grizzlies - Best 3pt shooting team in the league at 41.2%. And they need to be considering their big men combine to shoot around 40%.
15(20) - Utah Jazz - Hold the final playoff spot in the West and are 1 game under .500. Veteran squad that appears to be making one last run at glory. Louis Williams is a keeper.
16(12) - Atlanta Hawks - Hold the final playoff spot in the East and are 3 games under .500. Possess the best 3pt defense in the league as they hold teams to 35.1% from behind the arc. Branch, Gibson and Thompson is a solid foundation to build on.
17(14) - Boston Celtics - This overachieving team appears to be fading. Washington continues to have an outstanding year. Strength is on the perimeter as they lack a true inside presence. Only team with substantial cap space at this point in time.
18(16) - New York Knicks - Average a league high 14.5 TO's per game. Careless with the rock. Still efficient on offense and deadly from 3pt land. Struggle at getting to the FT line.
19(18) - Indiana Pacers - Continue to struggle with rebounding. Give up 39.9% from downtown. Need help on the wing and lack depth.
20(21) - Houston Rockets - Have talent but cant seem to put things together. Shoot over 40% from 3. Poor shot blocking team. One of the leagues least efficient offenses(42.9%). Should stay behind the arc.
21(19) - LA Lakers - Leagues worst shot blocking team(4.7 per game). Poor 3pt shooting team. Roster looks to have improved so there is hope. Low turnovers.
22(24) - Philadelphia 76ers - Share the ball and take care of the rock. Poor inside presence. Foul alot. Have the talent to improve in the second half.
23(27) - Washington Wizards - Another team with talent that has struggled to this point. Lack a true inside presence and struggle from behind the arc(only 35.4%).
24(25) - Miami Heat - Bron is avging a league best 31ppg. Recently acquired a good shot blocker in Dalembert as well veteran perimeter help. Sorry, not enough to get into the playoffs this season. Teams are shooting over 46% against.
25(22) - New Jersey Nets - Recent player movement in Jersey. Hopefully the offense can become a little more efficient(shooting only 42.8%)
26(23) - Sacramento Kings - Looking to get lucky in the lotto with 3 1sts in this years draft. A team that loves to foul.
27(26) - Phoenix Suns - A team with talent but still missing some pieces. Solid FT shooting team. Very poor rebounding team. Turn the ball over alot. Struggle to score as they only avg 99.3ppg.
28(28) - LA Clippers - Avg 14.1 TO's per game. Struggle to score. No real shotblocking presence. Low FG attempts and makes. Struggle at the FT line.
29(29) - San Antonio Spurs - Tough season in San Antonio. Hoping the worst record in the league will land them the best talent in the draft.
