The BBS Draft will begin as soon as the Warriors decide who they want. The draft class is set, with the grades they will have for the draft. We will still hold a draft night on wed 5-27 at 5pst. That night we will conclude the draft. Basically it is pick if you want until then. No time limit.
Draft results
.Warriors.....Emeka Okafor PF Will step in at the 4 from day 1 and give them a much needed interior presence. No need to score with Allen, Marion and Cassell around, just rebound and defend.
.Sonics.....Dwight Howard PF Will get plenty of playing time in the Great Northwest. Will team with Kwame Brown down low, hopefully they get angry with all the rain up there, and show some fire. One of the youngest teams in the league, they have potential to spare.
.Blazers.....Luol Deng SF Should start right away and be a part of the brigh future in Portland. Deng should see significant playing time by puching Shane Battier to the bench, where he is better suited.
.Cavs.....Shaun Livingston PG Will probably come off the bench behind Marcus Banks, but is definately the future of this franchise, along with Jason Richardson.
.Cavs.....Andris Biedrins PF Fills a huge need at PF, will probably start from Day 1. COuld also move to center once Dikembe Mutombo retires.
.Hawks.....Ben Gordon PG Will probably come off the bench, but will play big minutes in Atlanta. Will get plenty of open looks, and easy dimes with Shaq down low.
.Sonics(traded to Kings).....Josh Smith SF The Kings look to the future with this transaction, as Josh Smith has as much upside as anyone in the draft. HE could be a franchiseplayer, or he could be Darius Miles.
.Blazers.....Devin Harris PG Comes to the league as a 3rd guard type, backup to Tony Parker and Wally Szczerbiak. Perfect situation for this young player, seems likely to blossom in Portland.
.Clippers.....Pavel Podkolzin C Huge center spect comes in and will play alongside Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. One of the most promising front lines in the BBS.
.Blazers.....Martynas Andriuskevicius C Will get a good amount of PT with no true center on the roster. The Blazers have added arguably the best PG,SF and C from this draft.
.Sixers.....Andre Igoudala SG Nice athletic addition to the older Sixer squad. Wont start right away, but could eventually start at SF in Philly.
.Clippers.....Josh Childress SF Athleticsm and length could make him special, but for now hes stuck behind Carmelo Anthony. Will be a valuable role player for the up and coming Clippers.
