Franchise Player
Kevin Durant
Only 24 years, but with training camps and rewards he's already a stud with A- inside and A- outside ratings. Durant in his first full year as a 76er will look to put up 25+ points per game while hitting the boards at a decent rate. Barring any trades, Durant will be a 76er for many years to come...
Team Strength
I believe the strength in the team lies in the overall balance. At the point position, I have Mo Cheeks who is just the type of player needed to supply Durant and Wade with the ball at every opportunity. Anything under 10 assists per game will be considered a failure. At the SG position I have Dwayne Wade, a guy who is just as talented from outside as he is inside. Same goes with Durant, although Durant adds a few extra boards with his extreme athleticism. At the PF position is Kevin Love, a player who during TC dropped in 2 categories, but importantly increased his defense to an A. Every night I expect a double double from him. The last member of the starting lineup is Eddy Curry, who at age 29 is continuing to put up solid numbers in the points, rebounds, and blocks categories. Rounding out the team is the bench, led by up and coming stud Ricky Pierce. Pierce, still 23 has continually improved since being drafted last year in the 1st round. The rest of the bench, including Mo Williams, Jamal Crawford, Rory Sparrow, Mike Sweentey, and Charlie Villanueve provide a great combination of offense and defense.
Team Weaknessess
Statistically speaking, the team weakness appears to be defense, although I believe when the regular season starts I'll be somewhere in the top 10 in team defense. As a franchise, the team weakness appears to be the cap situation, as I have 3 players currently on Max contracts, with Durant on the way.
Outlook
The team should be improved in comparison to last years squad, so a playoff birth is expected. The combo of Wade and Durant is one that should be feared by all teams, and hopefully they will carry the 76ers to at least one playoff series win.
