Franchise Player
Kevin Branch. Great young talent and if I have my way he will be a Hawk for life. His game is a diamond in the rough but last season showed spurts that told me he could take over a game. I expect he will be a lot better this season with upgrades and improvement during training camp.
Team Strength
Our youth is our biggest strength. Starting at the top Curry is a seasoned veteran and is one year removed from the defensive player of the year. Also was on the all 3rd team.
Kwame Brown another seasoned veteran should be coming into the prime of his career and has had a vast improvement in training camp. With Wilcox and Varejao backing them up it should make for an interest competition.
Then we have Gay who was our most consistent player after the big trade that sent T Mac to Indiana. Nice young talent that is locked up for a while. Great offensive player as well as defensive player. Only 24 years old many years ahead of him.
Branch our future is whats going to make Atlanta a success or failure. He has some big shoes to fill after the departure of T Mac but he is still young and the upside looks good. With our sixth man Kiki showing signs of life after training camp should take some of the pressure off of Branch.
Finally our team captain Tony Parker what can you say top 5 pg's in bbs He has great handle, great assists numbers and can score when needed.
Finally we have a much improved bench with delonte backing up at pg and howard, high and fernandez waiting in the wings.
Team Weakness
Our division. It's tough to go with a youth movement when you are in the best division in BBS. Also the verdict is still out on whether our team can hang with the dominating PF's in the league.
Outlook
I feel that many teams will overlook us but I think we are a Playoff team and we will turn some heads. However we are far from a finished product. I will not rest until we bring a championship team to Atlanta.
