Franchise Player
Kobe Bryant- Kobe does it all in Mo-town. He has leads the team in scoring as well as contributing by always crashing the boards and getting his fair share of assists. He shoots with great efficiency and knows how to win in the clutch.
Team Strength
Our balance and depth- The Pistons may not be the strongest team one through five but they feel they are the best one through twelve and even one through fifteen. The pistons have assembled a team with players that do their job. Whether that be to handle the ball, shoot the ball, rebound the ball, play lock down defense, or even to do all of the above the Pistons have that player. The backup five loves to push the starting five and joke around that they could be their own franchise. Dee Brown, Malik Hairston, Hakim Warrick, Eddie Griffin, and Shaquille O’Neal are great assets and offer a little change of pace from their teammates who start.
Team Weakness
Lack of a 3rd Option- This could be a weakness right now as J.R Smith who is slated to be the third option. J.R has not had a consistent starting gig in his 7 year career and is somewhat unproven. Malik Hairston did a very good job last year as the third option but the team is looking for more out of him. He is still at A potential and could develop into that player that we think he is capable of becoming.
Outlook
The team goal is a championship trophy to bring back home to the great fans of Detroit. Kobe and Jermaine still have a lot of gas left in their tanks and they are looking to prove they are still the best duo in the league despite some public opinion. Championship title or bust.
