Franchise- G Ben Gordon
Ben Gordon needs to make big strides now that he's the go to guy after having a career year last season. If he does the same or better, the team will be successful.
Team Strengths- Froncourt, bench
Since taking the team, the club has never had so much depth on the bench espicially in the front court. The second unit will be composed of decent to good backups in guys like Brendan Haywood, Darrell Arthur, Sam Williams, Mike Sanders and Lorenzo Romar. To be sucessful, the bench will be another big key this year.
Team Weaknessess- Star Power, SF
Grizzlies dismantled the last of the star trio in Vince Carter leaving guys like Gordon and Harris to make up for leadership on the team. Rashard Lewis is on his contract year so he will have to step up in order for this team to do well in the offensive scheme that is planned.
Outlook- Playoffs first round, possibly second round
I don't want to have to much high expectations for my team this year because the debacle last year. But, I think I rebuilt well enough and young enough to be competitve and secure a mid to late playoff berth.
