Franchise Player-Shannon Brown
One of the best players in the league and arguably one of the best PG's in the league (Strong case can be made for Shakur). Last year was an 1st Team All BBS 23 PPG 10APG. Only 26 years old he can score and dish, makes everyone else around him better.
Key Players
Shannon Brown, Pavel Podkolzine, Sidney Moncrief, Josh Smith, James Bailey, CJ Miles, Mo Cheeks
Team Strengths- Depth, Assists, Outside Shooting
New Jersey is loaded with depth at the PG and Wing positions. Mo Cheeks is a potential BBS Mvp in years to come and CJ Miles and Josh Smith add a great punch from the bench. Chris Taft although a poor 2010 campagin is always a force to deal with and is a great backup to Bailey. NJ loves to play fast pace ball and can run the court with the best of them, alot of teams wont keep up with the speed.
Team Weaknesses-Inside Scoring, Youth, Depth at the Center
New Jersey is a team built off the play of there 1, 2 and 3 postions. 80 percent of the nights scoring will most likely come from them, Inside they really have no presence scoring wise on a nightly basis. New Jersey has no older leaders with not a player over 30 this could hurt them. GM Pig has to worry about Pavel Podkolzine going down. He has no real decent Centers behind him and well be in a big rebounding problem if Pod goes down to injury.
Team Outlook
New Jersey is young but they can easily be a decent sleeper in the East. Watch out for them creeping up the Atlantic and just slip into the playoffs this year barring no Injuries to its major contributors.
