Gooden and Varejao for Battie? Sounds like a steal for the Cavs. Gooden isnt Boozer, but he should do a solid job, and Varejao has some good potential. IS Varejao playing in the NBA this year?

when I saw this trade go across bottomline I about shit my pants... the Cavs got a total steal here and definitly have filled their biggest hole not only temporarily but for the distant future because I believe if Gooden doesn't stay or continue to improve, Varejao will be a very good player in the NBA.

Gooden is a poor defender, and Battie can be a decent shot blocker. I can assume they wanted a strong defender with Howard there, but it still seems like the trade cost them talent wise. And no matter what league youre in, you cant give away talent.
