I know were still a little early in the offseason but what teams do you think are doing the most/least. And what teams have improved/not improved via the draft, trades, free agency?

Detroit...A+
They were able to keep Rasheed Wallace. Even though they lost Mehmet Okur, he was useless for Larry Brown. Larry Brown likes a hard nosed frontcourt player(McDyess). McDyess is a very nice addition because he doesn't need to put stress on his knees as a starter. I think if they could get a backup versatile guard(Jaric?) that they could definitely repeat.
San Antonio...A
They ended up with their main wingmen. They kept one of the better wings on the open market(Ginobili) and defensive lock(Bowen). This keeps their core intact. I also like the signing of Barry. Barry is a nice versatile player, and will help spread the defense, something they lacked. If they could possibly add a true center(Dampier? Swift?), and push Rasho on the bench, that would be huge. Maybe a backup PG(Fisher? Sura? Anderson?) and they will be the NBA champions in the 2004-2005 season.
Indiana...B+
Trading for a solid scorer(Jackson) helps greatly. They didn't give up much(Harrington) to land Jackson. Let's not forget they lost by a couple of points. Plus Jackson will work well in uptempo with Artest and O'Neal. They definitely need to keep Anderson with the spotty PG play of Tinsley. Also I think the drafting of David Harrison could be a a steal as long as he works hard. Although maybe signing a legitimate center could help. Maybe Samaki Walker or Keon Clark.

They didnt really have a use for Harrington, because we already had artest and we needed to get a backup for Reggie. It wouldve been nice if there was a use for Harrington but there just wasnt. But i agree with you that drafting David Harrison could be a steal. Many mock drafts had him at the number 23 pick. I also agree that he could become a great player if he works hard, his weakness is his work ethic. He could be great one day he has great size at 7 feet 250 lbs. Exactly what the Pacers were lacking,(size). Overall i think the Pacers have done an excellent job with their moves this year

I don't about like Zach... Zach had a great playoffs the year before and I for one saw a great season coming. Harrington I don't believe putting up #s like that anytime this past season on a consistent basis (though i didn't pay a lot of attention). However about anyone could do that in Hawks current frontcourt

Overall i think the Pacers have done an excellent job with their moves this year Losing Harrington(a backup player) who wasn't a consistent scorer for a new starting SG(Jackson) who showed he could score. That's what the Pacers needed. A true scorer. Jackson is that. I don't see Harrington getting more then 15-5-3 a game. Plus they got Childress and Smith at his positions.

the only reason why Harrington wasnt consistent was because he didnt get consistent minutes. As for Jackson he is a true scorer but he was on the Atlanta Hawks. I guess we'll see what Harrington will do in Atlanta, I dont see Childress or Smith goin to be as good as him, Harrington will get probably 5x as much minutes as those two put together. I definetly see Harrington breaking out as Zach Randolph type year.
