This is stupid. West doesn't need another guard-forward. He needs to clear space there. Not to mention the price.

Im assuming hes gonna try and package some guys for a really talented player, or a specific need(like Center,Dampier??). In that case Cardinal would be a solid backup. But it is horribly overpaying for a solid bench guy.

I don't understand this signing at all... we already have 4 players like cardinal already in posey,battier,wellls,miller. Battier just signed a 6 yr deal so it's doubtfull that he's gone, Miller is virtually untradable, and West seems to want to hang on to Posey. I have no clue what is going on here in Memphis.

Id be really suprised if the Grizz didnt make another deal. I cant believe they wont deal Stro for Damp, seems like a no brainer.

hey dont blame them that they wont do dampier4 swift i wouldnt do it either. swift is a guy wit great potential. i think hes gona be real good next year. wit numbers like 13 and 8 or so. as for brian cardinal i dont understand it either. he probably is not gona get much pt, so y sign a guy like that for this much?
