Am I still allowed to pick any 1st which I would want to give to a team since I'm over the cap? Or am I required to give the pick from the first available year? Also, If I have multiple picks in the same year then am I correct in assuming I get to choose which of those picks I give?

I asked Spence this last year, 99% sure you can pick the pick. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I do think this is correct.

Your choice unless you dont forfiet a pick in the given time. Then its my choice.
AIM Sns are on the main site under GM List.
Someone send Andy a Buddy List over AIM.

ok cuz in the rules page it seems to explicitly say that the pick from the first available year will be taken...I guess that might need modification.
Thanks though, this is good news.
