I just bought an Ipod Video (i previously owned a mini) and i had to re-install itunes. In doing that it deleted my previous songs (over a 1000.) I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if anyone else knows how to get those back without manually uploading each C.D.?
And i was also wondering if anyone knew how to upload your own videos, or can you only upload what they offer for you to buy?
Any help is extremely appreciated! Thanks!

See if the songs are under itunes; otherwise, you may have to do it manually.

Tony, this might not help your problem but you can do a Restore on your computer and go back in time and get back all the lost songs, youll lose the iTunes you re installed but you get all your songs back

You have to re transfer them when this happens, although you probably already knew that. But Im just saying, when it gives you the choice to re download all new songs and erase your old ones, DONT PRESS YES! Any help is extremely appreciated! Thanks! Trying 'add file to library'. If you want to put moves on the ipod that are not downloaded from itunes go here. www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/Grab the ipod converter and your set. I have like 4 DVD movies on there and a bunch of music videos already... really no problems with it so far. Screen sratches a bit easily though, a case is a MUST! How much you get yours for? I got mine brand new for $325

i payed the same, but i just soled (correct spelling?) my mini on ebay for 190. considering i got it for christmas, and a brand new one would cost 200 bucks and i had it for a year i think i did pretty good on it. so technically i only payed 120 bucks for the video.

I had no clue what I was doing either but it's actually pretty simple...
Click on Convert on the top-left side
Click on Transcode New Video
Search for the video you want converted
Set the quality to whatever you want(I just leave it as is... but if you dont want incredible quality to save up space change it)
Hit start
all videos are saved to the Video folder in of the Videora Program folder.
That should do it.

yeah i looked around and finally found the directions, and thats what they told me to do. but i they also said to download a dvd decrypter, i did that and im "transcoding" as we speak. but if you didnt use a decrypter is it neccesary? By the way thank you so much for showing me this link, it saves me 30 bucks because apple refers you to use a different program that you have to use. thanks!

Well the "DVD" movies I have on the i-pod i downloaded off of Shareaza. I never downloaded any DVD decrypter and the movies turned out fine. Depends on the size... the DVD movies are usually from 600 to 700mbs in size. and take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour to transcode(which I think isn't that bad) it also could depend on your computer speed i dunno I also didnt know Apple offered a program for this... thank God I like my things cheap and free and searched for this.

well i got my first one on, it was the Mitch Hedberg stand up that came with his new cd. But now im trying to upload some other DVD's off the disc and everytime i go to decrypt them it tells me theres not enough space, im guessing since you downloaded them they have already been decrypted. lucky you cause i cant download movies.
