(3) - Tim Duncan (TOR) - Adjusting well to life north of the border. 1st in free throw attempts per game, 3rd in league scoring, top 10 in rebounding and is shooting 49% from the field which is tops among starters.
(1) - Kobe Bryant (DET) - Percentages are down a touch but still highly efficient. Leads the league in scoring and contributes across the board.
(2) - Magic Johnson (MIL) - Continues to lead the charge for the Bucks. 48% from the field and over 5 assists per game. A primary ball handler that doesn't turn it over much.
(7) - LeBron James (SEA) - Bron is making a run at the scoring title and his team is trying to sneak into the playoffs. However, his play might not be enough to get his team over the hump.
(12) - Mustafa Shakur (GST) - A surprise at #5 but worthy of the spot. 18ppg, 10apg, 1.8spg on 46% shooting. Oh yea, the guy also hits at a 49% clip from downtown. The engine that powers the bus in Golden State.
(6) - Shannon Brown (NJ) - Wows scouts wherever he plays. Averages over 23ppg and 10apg while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from behind the arc. Aggressive baller that also plays under control.
(-) - Jermaine O'Neal(DET) - Limited action due to injury. Numbers are still impressive and should continue at a high level from here on out.
(4) - Kevin Garnett (ORL) - KG is liking his new surroundings. Stats are down but continues to play an all around game. Improved Orlando's defensive play the minute he stepped off the plane.
(14) - Larry Bird (ORL) - Efficiency is Larry's game. High percentages combined with excellent defense and solid rebounding makes him a complete player.
(13) - Dwyane Wade (ORL) - See Bird.
(8) - Tracy McGrady (IND) - The usual for Tmac. Doing just about everything for a team that isn't going anywhere, at least not this season.
(10) - Elton Brand (IND) - Highly efficient scorer who is also among league leaders in blocks per game. Should combine with Tmac to produce a nice tandum next season.
(11) - Darko Milicic (GST) - Strong season for Darko. Provides the interior scoring in GST, which is where he should continue to focus his efforts(27% from downtown).
(15) - Shaun Livingston (NO) - Efficient, gets teammates involved, plays great defense and also contributes on the glass. Giving it his all which translates into his team winning alot of games.
(5) - Derrick Caracter (MIA) - He's good. Infact, he's very good. Just not ready to carry a team into the playoffs. Excellent rebounder that has a knack for drawing fouls. Future is bright.
(9) - Carmelo Anthony (WAS) - Solid production from Melo. Grabs around 9 boards a game and he likes to share the rock.
(19) - Monta Ellis (NYK) - Outstanding shooter. 48%, 95%, 44% are his digits. A little more overall production and he'd be much higher on the list.
(18) - Baron Davis (CHI) - The stats are pretty much what most expected and the 3 player of the month awards show just how valuable he is to his team.
(-) - Eric Gordon(CLE) - Lights out shooter in the Monta Ellis mold. Infact, based on stats he could be Monta's identical twin. Well, the less liked one.
(-) - Gerald Green(NO) - Another newbie to the list thanks to none other than high efficiency.
