- New Orleans Hornets - .700 winning pecentage is tops in the league.
- Milwaukee Bucks - Consistantly near the top all season. Scoring but also playing defense.
- Toronto Raptors - Dominant at home, struggling on the road. Will recent roster changes pay off?
- Chicago Bulls - Perimeter based team that outscores their opponents.
- Minnesota Timberwolves - Balanced roster that finds a way to win games.
- Detroit Pistons - Still without JO. Kobe et al. continue to pick up the slack.
- New York Knicks - Tops in the Atlantic. Playing very well lately and leading the league in scoring and rebounding.
- Cleveland Cavaliers - Young team that continues to play well in a tough conference. May be the best 3pt shooting team in the league.
- Golden State Warriors - Second in the West. Shakur and Milicic is a great young tandum.
- Utah Jazz - Playing better as of late. Climbing the standings in the weak western conference.
- Washington Wizards - Fighting for the final playoff spot in the East. AI is definitely not the player he once was.
- San Antonio Spurs - A team that is playing above itself. Can they keep it up? We'll say yes, since they're in the West.
- Houston Rockets - 3-7 over their last 10 and only .5 a game back of home court advantage in the the first round. Gotta love the West.
- Miami Heat - Young team fighting to make the playoffs. Very talented but this may not be the year.
- Atlanta Hawks - Going with a youth movement. May actually be better off now and in the future.
- Orlando Magic - The disappointment continues. Too much fun in the sun perhaps?
- Phoenix Suns - Playing below expectations. Need to find better execution on offense.
- Indiana Pacers - Recently acquired Tmac. They have a shot at the playoffs but it will be tough. Maybe they should have waited on their youth just a little longer.
- Denver Nuggets - Talented team that is young and should make the playoffs. Unfortunately they won't do much once they get there.
- Los Angeles Lakers - A team looking to the future and free agency. Could still make the playoffs.
- Seattle Supersonics - Certainly not the powerhouse we've come to expect. Lebron and the bunch can't seem to put things together. Of course, in West they may not have to.
- Portland Trailblazers - Surging into the playoff picture. New management has sparked their play.
- Dallas Mavericks - Young and loaded with potential. A few more pieces and they could be real good, real soon.
- New Jersey Nets - Brown and Webster are exciting players but they need help down low.
- Los Angeles Clippers - They have good players but just can't seem to win. New philosophy perhaps?
- Sacramento Kings - Looking old. A bench would help.
- Boston Celtics - Looking forward to free agency.
- Philadelphia 76ers - Looking like they'll have a top 3 pick in the upcoming draft.
- Memphis Grizzlies - That expensive perimeter trio just isn't working.
