The people in Atlanta are left staggering after the trade of their superstar Tracy McGrady. Many people are asking why? T Mac was top 5 in scoring and some feel is a scapegoat for the Atlanta woes. Some people say that the new gm Bill Bendernagel is folding under the pressure of having a sure playoff team 1 game under .500. When asked why T Mac needed to be dealt Bendernagel said "It's always hard when you have to deal a superstar like Mcgrady. I thought over and over again about this and when it comes down to it Kiki Vandeweghe averaged double figures in points when starting. We also gained three young talents in Branch, Gay, and Davis. I feel that McGrady was taking shots away from the young guns and was hindering the development of the future." When asked what to expect from the new look Hawks the gm said " Look for a young quick team built on defense. We will no longer be a team that tries to just outscore you. We will be a team that is disciplined, exciting, and a force to be reckoned with."
