This probably should in the reward points fourm but I wanted everyone to see it.
Right now we can pretty much just use reward points to raise grades if I am correct.
Here are just a couple ideas that maybe we could use reward points for:
- Maybe have it on contracts of X amount of years people can shave a year off the deal. - Make reward points tradeable. [with a limit of course.] - Have reward points be used in trades as "cash" in trades to make up some salary diffrence. - If your over the cap and in the penalty be able to use reward points to go down a penalty level.
These are just a few ideas so we can use reward points in more ways.
Also, maybe set a mandatory set of points each GM should have to get so that everyone is apart or active in the league.
Just a couple random thoughts I wanted to throw out there.

We could definately discuss a certain amount of points being a cost to void a contract year. For example, 50 points can be used to void a year of a contract. As opposed to just buying someone out, 50 reward points could just erase one year from a players contract.
Because its a pain to try and manipulate trades, I dont wanna get into allowing points to be traded as cash to make up salary differences. I also dont really wanna have points traded in general, since I think that there value is somewhat limited.
I also think the reward points to lower a salary cap penalty could work. Once again, 50 points and you move down one penalty level.
Minimum point values I was thinking about. I mean if someone ends the year with less then 50 points, I think they just arent trying. I think a minimum value would definately promote activity amongst those less active GMs.
Its open for discussion.

I would also oppose being able to trade reward points, but the other ideas sound OK.

Ya, trading reward points is basically out of the question.

how about more points rewarded if GM's write articles about anothers teams trades/activities. this would encourage a more ubiased view and get different opinions known.

Sorry....dont like it. Personally i object to the point system in general. Lacks realism. If the point system were in the NBA Zeke would be in negative sums.
I dont like the ideas.
"I offered a bad contract to an old player so ill write a few articles, get some points and shave a year off"
Maybes it because im English, but I object...

While I understand what you are saying and I am with you, I wasn't for award points, but since we do have them I would like to use them to my advantage.
