From Jeremys post in the Reward Points section...
I'm doing just fine with my team, thanks.
The league is fine the way it is, just not sure why you feel the need to up and change things. Especially making a change that pretty much necessitates owners contributing quite a bit more time to the league, just to stay competitive. I have a life outside this league, and while I enjoy the league, these new rules "may" either a) yield my team substandard if I can't devote significant more time, or b)cause me to leave.
I know it is your league and you can do what you want. But what about bringing ideas like this to the owners for their opinions? Apparently "we" don't matter anymore.
Post here is you agree. Post here if you think I dont allow for input on league issues.

Like I said from the previous post,
Hey I just want to add something if you don't mind. Ideas like this does bring more activity and participation in a league. Trust me I've experienced it. It really worked out in another league I was in. The forum was crazy and the acitivty was locked on every day. Even the quiet GM's became active. This could work in this league. IMO, this is a great idea.
;D

As you all can tell, Im pretty annoyed by the comment Jeremy made. The fact that someone who is so inactive can make a statement in which he tries to speak for the league is ludicrous to me. Id like to be known as someone who listens to feedback, and runs the league accordingly. Of the people that posted their thoughts, only 2 people didnt like it. I guess I just wanna open it up for more discussion.

NORMALLY you do a good job of getting input, but on this ONE item, to the best of my knowledge, you got NONE before throwing this rule out there. I'm only speaking about this ONE time. And quit calling me inactive. I'm around, and I talk with several people from the league on a fairly frequent basis. I've got young talent that I want to let develop, my team doesn't neccesitate making trades every day.

I agree and disagree.
I agree that people who have a hard enough time as is to devote 5 minutes to BBS(even though they're online for hours) will find it impossible to devote an (gasp) extra 5 minutes!!! to BBS.
I disagree that topics are never brought out to the open to discuss. Suggestions are always brought to the attention of the league before they're implemented. It's those of you who check out the messageboards once a month who are dumbfounded when they see all the "changes" done to the league. More times then not when a suggestion is brought out, maybe 15, 20 max owners give their input. So when a suggestion is approved, and those who are inactive just find out about it, they get all mad and wonder why they were never informed...
My point is... BBS should be a league for serious owners. This doesn't mean that because you take BBS seriously you have "no life."(With the exception of Lumley and danny =) ) I for instance just got back from a month + vacation... I work,go to college, man I even go out partying on the weekends and I find it pretty easy to spend 10 minutes of my "busy" day to devote to BBS.
If I were Spence, I'd would've fired alot of owners already, regardless if they were good GMs are not. I think activity is what keeps a league going, not talent... my two cents.

It was in the general discussion area first, and then an official rule. You are one of the top 5 least active members in my estimation. Thats my opinion, so I wont stop saying that.

Again, not trading daily does not mean I'm not active. I come to the site daily. I'm on AIM daily. I usually talk with someone from the league, you guessed it, daily.
