- Detroit Pistons - Added a legit center and allstar point guard this offseason to go along with Kobe, Jermaine and Peja. This team also possesses quality depth. They have a shot at 60+ wins.
- Golden State Warriors - Made it to the Finals last season and could return this season. Milicic looks like a franchise player and is surrounded by a very good supporting cast.
- Orlando Magic - This team is loaded with talent and are a legit threat in the East. With Bird, Beasley and Wade they should be fun to watch. Caution - high scoring ahead.
- Toronto Raptors - Their Championship core remains intact and they should be a contender again this season.
- Cleveland Cavaliers - Excellent combination of inside and outside play. They are in a tough division but should be ready to hang with the big boys.
- Seattle Supersonics - With Lebron James and Dwight Howard this team should win a lot this season. Good talent at all positions.
- Houston Rockets - A veteran team with no glaring weaknesses. They can defend and score and should have plenty of success during the year. Will be tough to beat in a 7 game series.
- Minnesota TimberWolves - A team that takes great pride in playing tough defense. They should win their fair share of games this year and are capable of making a long playoff run.
- New York Knicks - Another veteran team with a ton of experience and leadership. Strong starting 5 that will compete every night.
- Portland Trailblazers - The duo of Garnett and Rush may be the best in the league. Overall depth is this teams only weakness. Harris and Durant look ready to take their games to the next level.
- Phoenix Suns - Much improved from last season. They look poised to make the playoffs and have the talent to do some damage once they get there.
- Chicago Bulls - A team that should have no trouble scoring. May not have the interior play to be a legit contender but with their explosive perimeter game they can win on any given night.
- New Orleans Hornets - A good team with talent at every position. Finding the right system will be the key to their success.
- Utah Jazz - A very solid team that should be playoff bound once again.
- Miami Heat - A very good core group with plenty of potential. They should be competitive and could surprise in the East.
- Sacramento Kings - Looks like they are going for it all this year in Sac Town. Shaq and Duncan may be getting up there in age but they still have the ability to dominate inside. If they can stay healthy they are a team no one will want to face in the post season.
- Washington Wizards - Explosive scoring and solid defense will have this team pushing for a playoff birth.
- Memphis Grizzlies - A triple threat of Carter, Pierce and Banks will keep them in the playoff hunt and should lead to some exciting play.
- Philadelphia 76ers - Talented as usual. Could this be the year they finally play like they are capabale of playing? Apparently we don't think so at this point, but who knows, even Eddy Curry won a defensive player of the year award.
- Atlanta Hawks - Speaking of Eddy, he will return along with Tmac and Parker for another season in the sports hotbed that is Atlanta. Probably ranked too low but with a lack of depth and a legit starting power forward we don't see them making any waves.
- Los Angeles Clippers - Thomas will make the Clips better but may not be enough to get them into the playoffs.
- Milwaukee Bucks - They have the talent to be a force but do they have the right mix?
- Dallas Mavericks - The rebuilding process looks to be coming along nicely in Dallas. We love their inside presence and overall potential. Will win more than last season, guaranteed.
- Indiana Pacers - Another team we may have ranked too low but someone has to be number 24. They should only get better as time passes. McHale is a stud.
- Denver Nuggets - Young and talented but aren't ready just yet.
- New Jersey Nets - Another young and talented team that needs time to develop.
- Los Angeles Lakers - Washington, Donaldson and Griffith is a nice start.
- San Antonio Spurs - Beginning the rebuilding process.
- Boston Celtics - Processing applications for management positions.
