Im considering adding retro stars who were drafted before 78. Only 1 per year, and Id bring them in at the age they were when the current draft class came into the league. So for example I could add...
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would come in in 2009 at 33 years old Julius Erving would come in in 2010 at 31 years old George Gervin 52 would come in in 2011 at 30 years old Robert Parish 53 would come in in 2011 at 29 years old Alex English 54 would come in in 2012 at 31 years old Bernard King 56 would come in in 2013 at 28 years old Adrian Dantley 56 would come in in 2013 at 28 years old
This would be to further even the league out, and bring us some more of the great players in NBA history.

I'd defentily like this, only i'd like it even better if you started them at a younger age say 22 maybe?
Especially if you get to even more into the history, especially about the big guys ala Wilt Chamberlin, Bill Russell, Geogre Mikan, Willis Reed, etc. I think that this generation of players is short on big men who can score in the paint and dominate the game.
Another thing, I don't think you want the FA pool to be to good where teams can add players for cheaper than what they are worth. So maybe you could wait until after next years off-season when the new extension rule is in place for a full season. Because the new rule should help strengthen the FA class as well.

I think this is a good idea because it will prevent weak FA classes. It would help even out the league a bit more but if the guys are coming in at older ages then the worse teams that are rebuilding will probably trade the guy they signed because their age doesn't completely fit into the rebuilding process. However, I thought after we do all the planned retro drafts then we could go back farther for more retro drafts (say the 60s or 70s next) which would prevent this idea from happening. I think it could help some of the worse teams, but in the long run all the studs would still end up with the better teams for picks and young talent.

I don't like it at all. To many stars and it taylors so much to teams that have sucked. I despise tanking and I can see it taking place already because of the drafts. Now if teams can trade away all their players and just get picks then have cap room to sign superstars it would kind of take away the accomplishment of at least being competative.

I see both sides of the issue here, so I'm just gonna stay out of it. I'll deal with it whether we do this or not.

Tyipical new boy Im not a huge fan. Im personally not a huge fan of the retro players being in AT all. However i realise that with the speed the league moves, we would simply be drafting unborn babies in a few years, so its a necessity, unless we slow the league down to snail pace. Retro drafts yes, free agents...i gotta vote no.

Jealousy is a destructive being when it comes to karma... Is that why your BBS karma is so bad?

he's definently dyslexic, because if he was very very very drunk he wouldn't have had the sense of mind to actually know what dyslexic meant.
