Desagna Diop has been on fire since Peja got traded and so has Troy Hudson. My team looks to finally show some promise, especially with Diop averaging 10 and 10 (Almost) and shooting over 40%. I'm making a return to the playoffs this year, baby!

7-3 in last 10 games, 5 game winning streak. And I'm the horrible GM who's running his team into the ground......

Everyone has their hot streaks but it is hard to run something into the ground when it is already 6 feet under

whats your point man?
Lets face facts. Right now the team, Phoenix, has one relative star in rip and a couple of slightly promising young players. Its not going to contend for a title any time soon. Maybe you have a master plan, but with no 07 pick and a very late 1st rounder in 08, surely its feasible to see why people dont share your optimism.

Hey Phoenix, a couple of things here.
First off, SETTLE DOWN.
Secondly, like has been said, you really don't have the record to be talking this sort of smack in the first place. I know that a couple other GMs can vouch with what I am about to say, so this isn't just one man's experience. A couple GMs, definitely me by the way, have come into really bad situations with their teams. Even though you may have a "master plan" of yours in the works, you shouldn't talk smack until you are actually playing well over a long period of time. The more experienced and successful GMs, if you notice, are very humble when it comes to talking about their teams. Thus, they don't appreciate someone with a 14-20 record, on pace for a lottery pick, coming on here and proclaiming how great his team is. Now, if you were actually successful, 20-14 instead for example, you wouldn't have as much, if any, negative feedback here.
So overall, just settle down and be patient with the team. Once you actually start to succeed, then I feel as if it's fair game for you to talk as much smack as you want. But wait until you are succeeding.

I'm not bragging at all, I have no idea where this team is going but I have a plan. And a backup plan if I need to use that. I'm just saying cut me some slack, its not like I'm not trying. I'm just pointing out a streak my team went on without its best player. I personally think thats impressive for a team that has a struggling record.
And for the record, I have Cleveland's 07 Pick coming back to me at the end of the season.

I'm glad this topic took a turn for the better. First off, Phoenix definately made some very inappropriate comments in this post. I'm guessing Danny deleted them? Regardless, I can understand what Phoenix is saying. What this league needs is GM's who are indeed excited about thier team, if not where it is then definately where it is going. I am happy to see that Phoenix feels this way about his team. Having said that, if you're going to post on the boards about this (well for starters, the sim thread area would be most appropriate to post in) then you have to be able to deal with any criticism that may come of it, and your earlier responses were completely out of line.

Yea, I have no problem with people talking trash about their team, as long as they are able to take any criticism that may come as a result of it. And I think that PHX's original post is actually "interesting" because 7-3 w/o RIP is very impressive. With Hudson, RIP, and Diop already there, he's got a setup for turning this team around in about 2 seasons. Good luck man.

I just got back from my little vacation, and thankfully someone saved your post Jayborne, so I got to see it.
We really dont need your attitude in this league. Effective immediately you are no longer in the league.
Phoenix is open.
