One of the hottest teams in the BBS the New Jersey Nets are on a roll going 8-2 in their last 10 games and are now holders of the 8th slot in the East with a solid record of 26-25 in the busy Atlantic. Many wrote the Nets off as they were as many as 10 games under 500 before new GM Brendan McEneaney took over the club. "The leadership was a huge question mark" McEneaney said in a recent interview "But now Martell(Webster), Marv(Williams) and Shannon(Brown) are stepping up to the plate and providing quality minutes to their maximum potential." "There is no single player who stands out on this team" Martell Webster added "Me, Marvin, Shannon and Chris(Taft) are working together very well now something that wasn't happening when our past GM was around and everyone is doing their job in making this team playoff bound." McEneaney has been working a few marquis deals in his first couple months as the Nets GM picking up bonafied youngster C.J Miles from Miami and Rising Star Clemon Johnson from Los Angeles. "C.J gives us someone who can play the 2 and the 3 and he can give you 20+ night scoring wise every once in a while so he's a great asset to have and Clemon although isn't getting minutes right now is going to be a vital part of this organization down the road as we believe he is working to his maximum potential. The Nets also have a bunch of International talent who are providing a spark on the boards and on the defensive end as well. "Podkolzine, Jin and Samaradzki are 3 strong defenders and give us great defense down in the paint." GM McEneaney's expectations are high for this young team and he believes that this team can go all the way this year even as young as they are. The Nets should be a team to watch in the next couple of weeks and it will be intresting to find out if they are a team to contend with in the East.
