I just looked through the old lineup posts to see who has been active, and who has not. I have never kicked people out based on lack of posting lineups, but I think that policy is gonna change soon. We have at least 2-3 guys wanting in the league, and we have some owners who havent been as active as they could be. From now on out, lineups will be mandatory at least every 2 weeks. If you havent done one, and the 2 weeks comes up I will contact and you will need to do a lineup immediately. If the lineup isn't up ASAP, that GM will be replaced. I dont think this is too much to ask, and I am even gonna start posting my lineup again, to set a good example. If you dont want to do your own lineup, just post COMP RECOMMEND. I will eventually post what the comp does for your lineup so you can see it. These are the GMs that need a lineup of some kind in soon.... New Orleans Sacramento Neither of the teams above have a linup post. I know David(Lums) is active, but I still neeed him to post a lineup. Mark has been M.I.A. Atlanta LA Lakers New Jersey Toronto Minnesota Houston Philadelphia Seattle Cleveland LA Clippers Denver These teams have lineups but change them in frequently. Now it's known a new post is required every 2 weeks, minimum. Even if the post says SAME LINEUP. Brian, Tom, Kevin, Manas and everyone who does put in time on the league, please help me enforce this. Its for the good of the league.

You think it promotes inactivity? I know that i'm not Minnesota but I defentily think that letting people say "Use what the computer says" should not be allowed. It is not hard to post a lineup, nor is it time consuming. I have made ALOT of trades, probably more than anyone, and I manage to keep my lineup up to date a good porition of the time. If a GM isn't for sure who to make the second or third opition or what pace to use ask several GMs. You will get much better advice, IMO. I've done that and I feel like it has really helped me, way more than the computer could have atleast.

I agree with rommie, I don't think 5 minutes of your time to post your lineup really should be a hassle for anyone.
I doubt that anyone's busy enough that they can't take 5 minutes of their time to post a lineup. I mean, now with college, going out, and hopefully getting a job soon I don't think I'm going to be so busy that I can't even post a simple line-up. I really never understood how people couldn't have "enough time" to be in a sim league. That's what e-mails and PMs are for, no? If you want to trade, just leave someone an e-mail and PM and that should do the trick.
I know that you disagree with GM Check-Ins SDOG, but I don't see what harm those could do either.

I feel like for the most part we have an active league. More problems come up when established GM's, who have been here awhile either dont have the heart to tell me they arent intrested, or just wanna do just enough to stay in the league. I feel as though the league is successful enough to replace members that are no longer interested, and also provide enjoyment for those that dont ever want to leave. I dont like check ins cause I wouldnt want to lose a GM because of some odd conflict. With lineups every two weeks it allows me to have a dialogue with GM's, and really ask them if they want to stay. I do like how its set up now.
As for doing lineups Ive always allowed computer generated lineups, and I really dont see it as a time issue, more as a resource issue. Some people really dont know how to do a lineup successfully. The most successful GM in the history of the league, Jeff Tang, always did comp recommend lineups. David the Sac GM is one of the more active GM's and he runs comp recommended, I just dont see it relating to activity, which was the point of the post.
