hey the amare excuse is a good one!
No i know right now detroit and the spurs are the top two teams in the NBA. But i think the way the new guys have gelled together with nash and marion is awesome. And as of now i believe the suns are a top 5 team without Amare, just imagine when he gets back!

The Suns are just playing unbelievably right now. Are Raja Bell and James Jones for real? Can they do this all year long? Bell is a solid bench guy, but to think hes a 40% 3 point shooter, well Im just not sure. Jones is in the same boat, I just dont know if these guys are very hot, or if theyve become better players. The Mavs are just ridiculous this year also, playing some great basketball. I dont think they can beat the Spurs though. I also still love the Heat and Pacers, and I think either of those teams "could" beat the Pistons.

Yup. Pacers and Heat are neck and neck with the Pistons imo, come playoff time. Spurs-Suns is all about tempo. Manu becomes the Spurs best option if the Suns control the pace, while if the Spurs slow it down, Phoenix in the halfcourt game is all about picks&pops or rolls. I can't wait for that playoff series. As long as Boris Diaw keeps going at 10/6/6, I'm happy. Picked him up off FA in my fantasy league.

Can't forget the Mavs blew out both SA and Detroit. They can play at any pace and have a lot of versatility with their lineups. I just don't think they're a good playoff team.

I'm looking forward to seeing Miami and Indy once they mesh...but like I've said from the beginning I have to see it to believe it with Miami and I feel they have too many egos. Williams and Walker are not going to fit in once Shaq gets back.
Indy is just a mystery...I thought they'd come out of the gate on fire...heard about a trade that's being brought up again...Artest for Peja. Pacers do that they don't have a shot at beating the Pistons in the ECF....Prince feasts against those jumpshooters when playing D.
Amare being out is an excuse but you play with the players you got, you gotta deal with the circumstances but no doubt, the Suns are playing extremely well. I'm curious if Amare coming back this year though is even a good idea...he's the franchise player, don't want to rush him back and screw him up (Grant Hill).
Mavs look nice but in a 7 game series, I don't see them beating the likes of Detroit/SA. The game against Detroit was amazing but every team has a few of those games where every shot is going in and every shot put up for the other team isn't. No doubt though, they are looking very nice.
What do you guys think of GS chances in the playoffs? I've had the chance to watch them play with this NBA Package a bunch of times...great looking team but Baron Davis is such a chucker...takes way to many 3's but other then that I'm impressed....love Pietrus too.

I've only seen GS play five or so times this year, including the Knicks-Warriors game Pig and I went to. I don't think they'll do anything if they make the playoffs; their backcourt is spectacular, but Baron will hurt as much as he helps half the time. They'll be overmatched in a series defensively. I agree, though, Pietrus looks awesome.

Yes, Pietrus is out for about a month.
As a Warriors fan, I have to say I was encouraged that they could stay in a game with Phoenix, when they didn't have Murphy or Pietrus.
And in other news, Eddie Johnson is one of the worst anouncers in the history of anouncing. The single most flaming homer I have ever heard, I hate being in Phoenix and not getting to listen to Fitzgerald and Barnett, at least they can give the other team credit when they deserve it.

and miami didnt have shaq r u kidding me phoenix is not a contender there bench is whack dont mean to be rude, but have you watched a suns game this year? The suns bench has been playing exceptional this season, and they often increase the lead with the bench in. Im no longer afraid when Nash goes out, Diaw, Jones, Barbosa, and House have been able to keep the tempo going. Also the suns defense as of late has been ridiculous keeping 8 out of 9 opponents under 100 points a game, something that was unheard of last year for them. I think bringing Amare back this year is not a bad idea, the news down here in phoenix is that hes healing exceptionally well and is 2-4 weeks ahead of schedule, but theyre still eyeing a febuary return. And as for reeves comment about eddie, i totally agree with you, the guys is so annoying and full of himself its disgusting.

If you can, try to catch the Suns tonight on ESPN. They haven't missed a beat from last season.

Of course tonight may not be the greatest night to evaluate their talent, as they are playing the Knicks, without Q-Rich.

Of course tonight may not be the greatest night to evaluate their talent, as they are playing the Knicks, without Q-Rich. Knicks are better without Q in there. Not a knock on him, but he doesn't fit in here at all. Hard to fit in on this roster because almost every possession, a guy has to create his own shot. Q hasn't shown any interest in that; a little less than half his shots have been threes, and he's taken far too few shots anyway. I guess that's because his minutes are way down, though.THAT SAID, they've played their best basketball this week and the offense seems to be coming together. I'm actually looking forward to a good game tonight, maybe I'll get burnt on that, but I'll still be able to watch the Suns so I'm not complaining.

By the way, if you haven't heard enough people rave about him yet, watch Channing Frye tonight. I don't think he'll ever miss another shot in his NBA career.

whats laughable is that he lead the nation in scoriing. the guy has never lived up to his potential im a knicks fan i know he has killed us for years. and he's on the downside of his career. 5 years left tops and like i said suns are not winning a championship anytime soon
